Enzyme activity evaluation by differential electrochemical mass spectrometry.
NAD-dependent alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH) enzymes for ethanol oxidation were investigated by differential electrochemical mass spectrometry (DEMS). The broad mass spectra obtained under bioelectrochemical control and with unprecedented accuracy were used to provide new insight into the enzyme kinetics and mechanisms.
متن کاملThiol-functionalized anthraquinones: mass spectrometry and electrochemical studies
ABSTRACT In this work, the synthesis of various thiol-functionalized anthraquinone compounds is presented. The studied compounds were characterized by mass spectrometry and the main fragmentation pathways are discussed. The compounds studied formed stable self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) in the gold surface. The parameters for the reduction processes in the gold surface of the studied new anthr...
متن کاملProtein analyses using differential ion mobility microchips with mass spectrometry.
Differential ion mobility spectrometry (FAIMS) integrated with mass spectrometry (MS) is a powerful new tool for biological and environmental analyses. Large proteins occupy regions of FAIMS spectra distinct from peptides, lipids, or other medium-size biomolecules, likely because strong electric fields align huge dipoles common to macroions. Here we confirm this phenomenon in separations of pro...
متن کاملDifferential Ion Mobility Spectrometry Coupled to Tandem Mass Spectrometry Enables Targeted Leukemia Antigen Detection
Differential ion mobility spectrometry (DIMS) can be used as a filter to remove undesired background ions from reaching the mass spectrometer. The ability to use DIMS as a filter for known analytes makes DIMS coupled to tandem mass spectrometry (DIMS-MS/MS) a promising technique for the detection of cancer antigens that can be predicted by computational algorithms. In experiments using DIMS-MS/...
متن کاملUltrafast differential ion mobility spectrometry at extreme electric fields coupled to mass spectrometry.
Microchip-based field asymmetric waveform ion mobility spectrometry (FAIMS) analyzers featuring a grid of 35 mum-wide channels have allowed electric field intensity (E) over 60 kV/cm, or about twice that in previous devices with >0.5 mm gaps. Since the separation speed scales as E4 to E6, these chips filter ions in just approximately 20 micros (or approximately 100-10,000 times faster than "mac...
